Plant Medicines

Eye started learning about plant medicines after eye came across a yellow dock root at my grandmother's house. Eye didn't know what it was, but later eye had found a post or video on YouTube about it. It led to a whole new dimension of life. Waking up and exploring nature and seeing what these plants are composed of, their uses, and how they can be utilized by the human system.

Many people aren't aware that most the plants we see have some value. Our ancestors used chamomile and lavender for skin ointments, and plants like dandelion root are used to detox the liver and treat kidney disease, heartburn, swelling, and soothe upset stomach. if not medicinal; they are still pleasing to the eye. This ancient knowledge of identifying plants has been lost throughout time; passionflower offers an array of benefits like increasing the GABA activity in the brain, and many parts of the sunflower have multiple uses. Most of this information is left out of the school curriculum.
